What controllers want to know before they enroll: time, data and how the work is marked.
What is the four-week course?
AI You Can Sign Off On is a four-week course with one live session a week. The next cohort opens soon. You redesign one workflow with AI, with its checks and controls, on the Northwind books, and your work comes back with written feedback. Coursework takes about one to two hours a week. The eight-week AI for Accounting Professionals program follows it. See both courses.
Which program should I take?
Choose by the decision you make. Staff and senior accountants who do the work take AI for Accounting Professionals. Controllers, finance and accounting managers and FP&A leads who run a team take AI for Finance Leaders. CFOs, VPs of finance and firm partners take AI for CFOs. Compare them side by side.
Can a CFO and a team take different programs together?
Yes, and a firm or finance function often does. Each person takes the program built for their decisions. For team training, contact us.
Do the programs earn CPE credit?
Not yet. Continuing professional education is a later step, and this page will say so when it is in place.
What if I cannot attend the live session?
Every session is recorded and posted in the student portal with the slides within 24 hours, so you can watch at a time that suits you. Your written feedback does not depend on attending live.
What do I hand in at the end of the four-week course?
A short file, three to five pages plus appendices, due at the end of week four. It describes the workflow you redesigned, the checks and controls around it, and one run on the Northwind books. A person reads it and approves the score. See what goes into it.
Who teaches the course?
[Instructor name and biography, owner to set]
Will I receive a certificate?
[Certificate of completion, owner to decide]
Does the four-week course count toward the full program?
[Owner to decide]
Can my whole team join?
Yes. Several people can take any of the programs together, and a firm or finance function can have a cohort of its own. Team training: contact us for dates and options.
How much time does the full program take each week?
One 60-minute live session a week, recorded and posted within 24 hours. The coursework is set over six days and is due before the next session. The student guides set about two to five hours a week, with the heaviest weeks being 3 to 7.
How do I complete the full program?
By doing the work: all eight weekly pieces of coursework marked complete, and a capstone plan that scores 70 or more out of 100.
Do I need to know how to code?
You need to know your own work. In Week 2 you build a small tool by describing it to an AI in plain English, then check what it produced. The skill the course teaches is checking.
How do I submit my work?
Through the student portal. Each week has its own page where you upload your experiments log, project and reflection, and post in that week's discussion. Feedback comes back on the same page. The student portal opens to enrolled students before the course starts.
Which AI tools will I use?
Whichever tool your organization has approved. The recorded demonstrations use Claude, and the coursework asks you to log which tool and model you used.
What data will I work on?
The Northwind books. Northwind Supply Co. is the shared case for all coursework in the four-week course, so no company or client data needs to leave your firm, and you explain how each result carries over to your own work. [Northwind-only rule for the first cohort, owner to confirm] Week 6 of the full program teaches how to classify your own data for when you take a redesign back to your firm.
I am between roles. Can I still do the capstone?
Yes. You write the adoption plan for Northwind Supply Co., the course case company.
What happens if I miss a session?
Every session of the full program is recorded and posted in the student portal within 24 hours, with the slides. You can send questions in advance through the week's page.
Who grades my work?
An AI grading assistant reads each submission first and drafts the feedback against that week's grading guide. In every program, a person approves every return for revision, a sample of submissions marked complete, and every capstone and final-deliverable score. Other work marked complete is released on the assistant’s draft. Each piece of feedback says whether a person reviewed it, and you can ask a person who did not draft it to review any result.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in full until 14 days before the first live session of your cohort, in every program. We publish that date on the enrollment page when the cohort's dates are set. After that your seat stays yours: move it to a later cohort or pass it to a colleague. The details are in the terms.
Can I submit late?
Yes. Late work is accepted and marked late until [late-work cut-off date, owner to set]. Work returned for revision can be resubmitted, and each version is kept.
Who will see what I upload?
You, the instructor and the AI grading assistant (which runs on our AI provider’s service). The files are stored by our platform providers, listed in the privacy policy. Your cohort sees only what you post in the forum. Your uploads are work on the Northwind books, so they carry no company or client records. [Northwind-only rule for the first cohort, owner to confirm]
Does the course follow US rules?
Yes: US GAAP, the AICPA Code, PCAOB, SOX, the IRS and US privacy law. Accountants elsewhere are welcome, and should check their own rules alongside.
How do I pay?
When card payment opens, you pay by card on a secure checkout page run by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe, and a receipt arrives by email. The price is per seat, and each course shows it on the pricing page. For team training, contact us. How to enroll and pay.
Is this legal, tax or audit advice?
It is general education. Confirm the rules and frameworks it summarizes against current primary sources and with your firm's counsel, security and quality leaders.
