The full program is eight weeks of real work on a company's books, and it ends with an adoption plan your CFO can act on.
It follows the four-week course. Each week brings one 60-minute live session built on a recorded AI run, and one piece of coursework that becomes part of your plan. Below is a sample of that work. $2,950 a seat.
From a recorded run on the October close
The AI proves the books are complete, ties the bank reconciliation to the cent, and ranks the riskiest entry first.
This is the standard your own coursework is held to: show the population is complete, tie every result to source, and leave the booking to a person. Your review notes say what you checked and what you corrected.
- Step 1Completeness first: 276 bank rows and 278 ledger rows loaded, and both closing balances recomputed from the opening 1,842,615.33 and agreed to the headers.
- Step 2Bank matched to ledger: 3 bank-only items, 5 ledger-only items and 1 amount mismatch, DEP5333, at 18,540.00 in the ledger and 18,450.00 at the bank.
- Step 3Adjusted bank = adjusted book = 1,779,474.31. Difference 0.00. Four adjusting entries proposed, and nothing booked.
- RankedJE2026176 first: a 60,000 debit to Sales against Suspense, dated a Saturday, prepared and approved by the CFO, with no support. "The CFO is the control."
- UnaskedTwo cleared checks to Allied Fasteners for 3,118.40, invoice AF-2291 and AF2291: a probable duplicate payment.
Recorded on Claude Sonnet 5.5 against the fictional Northwind books. All nine reconciling items and the four planted journal entries matched the answer key.
From a recorded run on the October accruals
The accruals agent balanced its draft entries at 169,373.31, wrote workings only, and held the final journal-entry file for the controller. When another agent relayed an approval, it declined, because that approval could not stand in for the controller's own.
Recorded on Claude against the fictional Northwind books. All five accrual amounts matched the answer key.
From a recorded run on the vendor master
An AI agent with write access to the vendor master was given an invoice carrying a hidden instruction to change the vendor's bank details. It refused the change, reported the instruction and held the payment. The vendor master was unchanged when checked afterward.
Recorded on Claude Sonnet 5.5 against the fictional Northwind books. All five invoice decisions matched the answer key. One model, one run: the controls that protect the money are a call-back to a number on file and no write access to bank details.
From a recorded run on the close memo
Asked to review a close memo drafted by another AI before the controller signed, the reviewer found net income overstated by exactly $45,000.00, removed an accounting citation that did not say what the memo claimed, and flagged 13 of the 14 planted errors. The fourteenth, an estimate stated as fact, it corrected in its rewrite without flagging it.
Recorded on Claude Sonnet 5.5 against the fictional Northwind books and checked against the course key. A review pass this strong still leaves the signature, and the professional responsibility, with the person who signs.
What you finish with
The capstone is the plan you would put in front of your CFO, proved with one workflow you redesigned and ran.
Six to ten pages plus appendices, assembled from your eight weekly pieces of coursework. It says what you propose, what it costs, what it returns, and the main risks and how they are controlled, and it ends with a 30, 60 and 90-day roadmap. Its evidence is one full run of your redesigned workflow, with outputs that tie to source and your review notes beside them.
It is scored out of 100, and 70 completes the program. The heaviest weight sits on the evidence and on governance: a real run, and controls and KPIs with baselines, targets and owners. A person approves every capstone score. In a cohort you also present your plan in eight minutes.
The case company
Northwind Supply Co. gives every learner the same full set of books to work on.
Northwind is a fictional industrial-supplies distributor in Cleveland, Ohio, with about 95 staff, roughly $45 million a year in sales and US GAAP books. Its October 2026 close carries the bank statement, the journal-entry listing, accruals, payroll, invoices and the trial balance, with planted errors and an answer key.
The recorded AI also found two inconsistencies we had not intended. One planted journal entry (JE2026178) is in the listing but missing from the cash extract, and the invoice register does not reconcile to sales in the ledger. Both stay in the course as lessons in why completeness checks matter.
Completing the program
Eight accepted submissions and a capstone plan scored 70 or more complete the program.
